IT Show 2012

For tech-fanatics there are a few special occasions to look out for that special gadget spree. They are are:

1. IT Show – happens in March, coinciding with the 1-week school holidays 
2. PC Show – happens sometime in June during the 4-week school holidays 
3. COMEX – happens in August 
4. SITEX – happens in late November, you guessed it, is also during the school holidays and just weeks before Christmas

The IT Show is one of many IT events held on a yearly basis, and revolves around anything related to IT. So if you love gadgets, or are just looking for a exclusive good deal this event, though crowded sometimes a tight fit would definitely interest you. Here's a survival guide, just in case.

Coinciding with the Singapore March school holidays, students looking a bargain are also attracted. This year’s IT Show 2012 starts from 8 to 11 March 2012, occupying 5 levels (1, 2, 3, 4 and 6) and will be held at Suntec International Exhibition and Convention Centre and has over 830 exhibitors. With that many exhibitors selling products that range from computers, to software, games, mobile communications and more, you would be spoilt for choice! That and you have hundreds of people to contend with.

So unless you really need or want to get something from the IT Show, don’t go. Really. The last time I went when I had nothing to buy, it was horrendous trying to just walk, no push, through throngs of people to just look at what was being displayed.
