The menu at Hong Kong Kim Gary Restaurant @ Tampines 1 has a wide range of dishes, most of them being typical Hong Kong dishes such as cheese baked rice, noodles and warm coca-cola with ginger. The restaurant also serves western food. The ambiance of the Tampines 1 branch is different from the one at Vivocity, with its darker theme. It is more of a casual, sit-down service than formal dining. However, the staff at this outlet are pleasant and friendly. I prefer this outlet over the one at Vivocity.
The baked rice set and the western food are worth eating if you are very hungry or have a big appetite. Every time I go there I would most often order the Hot and Spicy Noodles with Pork Chop. I try to order other items from time to time, but I like the spicy noodles the best. Drinks are served in honey-jars, which makes the experience interesting. One other item I like is the French Toast, very nicely done each and every time!
