Besides the sights, sounds and food, traveling in essence all about the experience: a train ride or bus ride, even the flight, is all part of the experience and enhances the travel experience rather than subtract from it. While some might view it as a waste of time, it is something that allows you to take in the sights and wonders of the land you are visiting.
