Plaza Gardens Restaurant Disneyland Paris (France)

Although there were at least 3 other buffet options when we were at Disneyland Paris, we decided to have an international buffet lunch at Plaza Gardens Restaurant (off Main Street) for 26.99€ per person (adult) with drinks included. It was worth it (especially if you are hungry and/or can eat a lot)! Children can eat at the buffet at 11.50€, while if you want to save some money on drinks it costs 22.99€ per adults with drinks not included.

The queue system could be further improved: imagine waiting in line to get a seat for over 30 minutes when the place really wasn’t that packed. It even had a peculiar system of making you wait even when there were seats available (and two lines at that too), while one of the waitresses’ was “looking” for seats for you.

When you do get a seat, you make your way to the cashier to pay up and the process was slow. Even with payment completed, they took some time leading you to your “allocated” table (as if they had to look for it all over again). When we did get seated the drinks and refill for the drinks took more than 15 minutes. The staff at the Plaza Gardens Restaurant don't know how manage crowds or to manage a rush hour service. Peculiarly inefficient, but I guess we were too tired and hungry to really care.

The interior décor was French influenced (of course), which was warm and welcoming, though a little tired.

Now onto the food… There were cute watermelon carvings of Disney cartoon characters that decorated the food corner, adding that Disney flair to your dining experience. There were foods such as baked potatoes chicken nuggets, pizza, fried chicken wings, ribs, as well as things like soup, cannelloni, beef, rice and vegetables etc... The restaurant had a good range of desserts and lots of breads and appetizers as well.

Okay, so the food was not that fantastic, but it wasn’t bad either with quite a few choices of foods and free flow of (non-alcoholic) drinks. The only gripe I have was that it was a long wait to get seated and slow service; it was at least about half an hour wait just to get seated. But I guess when compared to some of the other buffet options available, this would be fair value for money with its reasonable amount of food selection with (somewhat there) service.

If you think it would be any cooler in the restuarant than out in the summer heat, don't be mistaken, there is no air-conditioning in the Plaza Gardens Restaurant at all. Once inside, you escape the heat of the sun rays, but not the (slightly) stuffy and warm air circulating within the restaurant. But anything beats the hot sun outside.
