Park Inn By Radisson Abu Dhabi Yas Island is a 3 star hotel that is conveniently located near the Central Business District and right next to the Yas Island Race Circuit. It is also less than 3km from Ferrari World amusement park and Yas Waterworld, both of which can be accessed via the complimentary shuttle service offered by the hotel. The complimentary shuttle service also brings guests to the beach (with complimentary access). There is also the express red and blue routes that drop you off at the nearby attractions - the bus stop is just right outside Park Inn By Radisson Abu Dhabi Yas Island, about a 5-10 minute walk away.
Right next to Park Inn By Radisson Abu Dhabi Yas Island is the Radisson Blu, an affiliated 4-star hotel. Guests of both hotels can use the facilities of the other (e.g. swimming pool etc…). Park inn By Radisson Abu Dhabi Yas Island has a lagoon-style pool, spa area and 2 restaurants, Mint (for international dining) and Amerigos Bar & Restaurant (offering authentic Mexican cuisine). Besides the pool, guests of Park inn By Radisson Abu Dhabi Yas Island can play tennis on and younger guests can enjoy the play area.

The pool is actually quite small, but the water is clean and it can be a nice place to chill when there are not too many people.
The decor of Mint is simple and basic. The chairs are as uncomfortable as they look.
Breakfast was not included in the rate. So remember to check if the hotel if breakfast is included in the rate before you check in, and you might just get a discount. I had asked about breakfast I was offered a discounted rate of 50AED per person/per day for breakfast, while my colleagues who asked about breakfast when they checked in were charged about 60AED per day for breakfast.
Cold cuts, bread and cheese section.
The drink, fruits and egg section. You can order your eggs scrambled, omelet etc... via the waiters
A noodle station where you can cook you own instant noodles. The only problem, there were any instructions on how it should be done and when attempting to place the noodles in to the pot brought stares from the other patrons.
For breakfast at a 3-star hotel, it was adequate but otherwise it was really quite limited in variety. Wait staff were busy and tired, no greetings when we entered for breakfast and for at least 3 mornings no one bothered to verify with our our hotel room number. Only on the last two days did they start asking guests for their room number. Also asking for an omelet was a little challenging as the wait staff were sparse and always busy, they seemed a tad overworked as they hardly had any smiles on their faces. 😔 But they did provide the best service that they could in my opinion.
The Pool (Park Inn)
It was a Friday, and the hotel was preparing for a Mexican night (party) by the poolside that day.
The Check In and Out Experience
Check-in: It was a a relatively a busy afternoon when we checked it. By the time we reached the hotel it was already about 4 in the afternoon, perfect for checking in. Upon our arrival, the bellboy collected the luggage and later brought it up to the room for us.
The reception area was busy and we had to wait for about 5-10 minutes before it was out turn. Throughout the duration we were there, the reception was mostly manned by males but for checking in we had a female check us in. I decided to make payment upon check-in to save the hassle when we checked out 5 days later.
Check-in: The hotel so kindly offered us a late checkout of 3pm as out flight was late at night. That was greatly appreciated and we got a hotel car to send us to the Dubai Airport for 400AED. When it was time to check out, a bell boy actually came up to our room and helped us the the luggage and load them onto the car while I settle the checkout process.
Conclusion: Being a 3-star property, it should come as no surprise that the rates are quite affordable and one of the few hotels within the vicinity with a lower rate and relatively modern facilities and decor. Service is not spectacular (i.e. with little smiles on their faces, the staff can look a little bit fierce or intimidating at times), but it is still acceptable (i.e. requests get attended to and they are polite).
For Business: If you are in Abu Dhabi for business, especially in Masdar City, than the location of Park inn By Radisson Abu Dhabi Yas Island and its (lower) rate is one of the most ideal if you are on a budget. For Leisure: If you are in Abu Dhabi for a holiday, are on a budget, or simply just want to maximize your money, than staying at the Park inn By Radisson Abu Dhabi Yas Island with its quite prime location and rates, is a place to consider. It might not be the fanciest but it is clean and meets all the basic needs.
