Tucked away in a quiet corner of Sentosa lies the Capella Singapore, a 5-star hotel, which offers a quiet getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life; an ideal place for some peace and quiet. But along with that peace and quiet comes a hefty price tag, but it’s worth treating yourself once in a while.
Booking was a painless affair and though it was through a third party site, the amount of effort and detail that went into the confirmation, checking-in and welcome were not compromised. The confirmation email for the booking for the Capella was fairly quick and check-in was smooth. We were even presented with some chilled tea upon our arrival. Do note that a deposit of S$150 will be charged to your credit card for any incidentals.
Once we were checked-in, we were brought around the compound to get orientated with the cascading pools, Bob’s Bar (for hanging out) and dining options (Knolls and Cassia). There is free complimentary tea served at the Library from 3-5pm, unfortunately for us we missed it, but it is something I would try the next time I am there. Breakfast is available at S$48++ (per adult / per night), while children aged 6 - 11 years old are priced at S$24++ (per child / per night) and children 5 years and below enjoy complimentary breakfast at the Knolls Restaurant. Anticipating that we would be up late, we decided to skip the breakfast and have lunch at the Knolls instead.
After our short tour concluded, we were taken to the room on the fourth floor. It was a Premier Garden View Room and is the cheapest room available at the Capella. Despite being the cheapest option at the Capella (which is by no means cheap if it means S$700++ per night), the Premier Garden room was spacious and well-equipped. The room was furnished with twin beds and had a long-sitting sofa facing the 42-inch television and a nice “garden” view which overlooked part of the driveway (where I spotted a peacock!). The beds faced the wide window next to the sofa, offering an almost panoramic view of the “garden”.

In addition to the panoramic “garden” view from the beds, there was also a balcony offering a nice view:
When travel collides with a byte, a unit of information made up of bits, TravelBytez is formed: snippets of ramblings on travel, food, shopping, living and anything else that comes to mind.
Look at that view! You're looking at a rainforest out your window; it is so lush and green. I also love the way the shower is set up. What a great place to relax.
Wow, this sounds like an amazing experience. Thanks for sharing all the pictures too, I am so envious. You did the right thing skipping breakfast. I'd have been tempted to eat way more than usual to justify spending so much on one meal.
