Yat Lok Restaurant (Hong Kong) |
After a morning of exploring the local streets of Hong Kong, our first food stop of the day was Yat Lok Restaurant for the goose! Apparently it is a Michelin star restaurant, so all the more to visit. We were there pretty early and there wasn't much of a crowd. We were seated the moment we entered the restaurant. The decor hasn't been updated in ages but it is clean enough (by Singapore coffee shop standards). Seating wise, it is a bit of a tight squeeze as the area is not very large.
Since it was going to be another food feasting day, we just ordered goose and a plate of vegetables.
The goose! It was succulent and full of goodness, it would have been perfect with a bowl of rice or noodles. |
Goose and vegetables. The vegetables in Hong Kong might be simply prepared, but perfect every time! |
And the finish off the appetizer of the day - Hong Kong Style Milk Tea (hot and cold) |
For a Michelin star restaurant, the prices are affordable and the food worth the visit. Service wise, don't expect to much... it is 100% Hong Kong style service (direct, brisk and quite in your face). 😂
