Oasia Residence: One Bedroom Apartment Review

Oasia Residence Singapore
After checking in, we made our way to the room.
[Why we chose Oasia Residence]

[Our check in Experience]

While the apartment might not be the biggest, it was adequate and comfortable. When we entered the apartment, we were greeted by inviting cool tone and fresh wood colors for the flooring and inbuilt cupboards; it was clean and cozy. The lighting was also quite bright (a major plus point).

A welcome goody bag with snacks and 2 bottles of water, only upon check-in.

Cable TV channels were provided to leisure the time away while sipping on some complimentary TWG Tea. Complimentary water bottles, a sachet of washing detergent, and toiletries such as toothbrush and toothpaste, soap, shower cap, shower gel and conditioner are provided once upon check-in.

The puppy immediately was smitten with the large window panels by the bedside, where he could stare out and view the scenery without any obstruction... Actually he just liked the view for the regular afternoon siesta.

The bed was firm yet comfortable and the pillows just the right consistency - nice and fluffy.

The bedroom view - In front of the sizeable work desk are an adequate number of power sockets for the battery-hungry devices.

The mini living room right next to the kitchenette was perfect to just chill and entertain guests (if any).

Although the kitchenette was small, it was adequate and equipped with the basic necessities to whip up our meals from the groceries bought from the supermarket nearby.

Wooden sliding doors are used to segment to room.

Some other points worth mentioning:
  • Bathroom was clean and brightly lit.
  • Basic housekeeping was provided thrice weekly.
  • Internet connection (via the smartphone) was stable and good.
  • Did not totally love the 2-in-1 washing machine and dryer: you can't really control the temperate or choose just to dry the clothes, and the worse part is that it thins out the clothes.

Overall, a good stay and recommended if you want a home away from home. Service was impeccable and response when calling for assistance was prompt and efficient (e.g. the washing + dryer machine died on me once produced and "Error 14" so the engineer had to literally replace it with a new one!). As for housekeeping, although they had forgotten to clean our room once and we had to call to ask, the service they provided was good and they cleaned up pretty well too. One area they could improve on would perhaps be the communication between housekeeping and the front desk / reservations: when we had extended out stay for 3 more nights, housekeeping was not kept up-to-date and attempted to clean the room thinking we had already checked-out. But than again, it is a pretty new establishment (around a year old), so I am sure they will iron out these issues.

That said, if we ever need to escape the house with the puppy next time, Oasia Residence would definitely be re-visited again!
