Prettily crisp photos printed out with the Canon PIXMA printers on the spot! |
The
first time I attended a Canon Workshop was in June and last weekend I had the privilege to attend the
Canon PIXMA Animals Crafts Workshop (thanks to
omy.sg and
Canon). I learned how to make more cool crafts: from calendars to bookmarks and even a door sign; even discovering more wondrous properties of the
PIXMA printers. It was an afternoon of creativity and fun as pieces of paper took a life of their own and became adorable (useable) things!

Provided materials. Don't they look cute? ^^ |

Ready to start! The first item was a calendar - a record setting calendar. |
Besides being a (fun) workshop it was also an occasion (and opportunity) to get into the
Singapore Book of Records for having the most number (193!!) of people making calendars (in the same at the same time)! This is probably the only time I am ever going to have a record for such an accomplishment so it was an interesting (once in a lifetime) experience. While the workshop was mostly targeted at children, there was a table or two of bloggers who were the bigger 'kids'; attempting the crafts
themselves ourselves. The emcees did an excellent job interacting and engaging with the children through games. Check out the (first) video (I
painstakingly edited) on the event below (shot using the Canon LEGRIA mini):
With so many creative crafts that
Canon has to offer, it's relatively easy to create and personalize any chosen craft as a present, decoration, something that can be used or simply just for the fun of it. It was a fun and lively workshop (even for the big 'kids'); a discovery lesson for latent arts and crafts talent to surface.

From pieces of (printed) paper).... |

... to something more as each piece gets affixed on... little by little... piece by piece... |
