Zhongxiao Fuxing MRT Station - Taipei (Taiwan)

Zhongxiao Fuxing MRT Station

The Zhongxiao Fuxing MRT Station is a transfer station (just like Paya Lebar Station in Singapore) for the Wenshan Line/Neihu Line (Brown Line) and the Nangang Line (Blue Line) located Da'an District, Taipei (Taiwan). This MRT stop is one that we become very familiar with as we had to pass through this station to get to the attractions and back to the hotel (Hotel Quote Taipei) almost everyday.

According to Wikipedia, this station has 6 levels. The long escalators remind me of the one at the Stadium MRT Station. One major difference is the speed of the escalators; they were going at a much slower pace. It was not just the escalators; in fact it seemed that even the commuters were not as hurried. Even on a weekend, besides the escalators being slightly slower, the speed of the commuters was at a much relaxed slower pace as compared to Singapore – it seems that we are always rushing, always running, always hurrying to get somewhere. But I digress.

Anyways, when we were there the concourse was decorated in a very fun and lively way. There were cute paintings and light displays that livened up the atmosphere. This stop is also the stop to get off for the Hello Kitty Sweets Cafe. There is a SOGO in the vicinity as well as lots of shopping and food.
