As we had checked-in online prior to our arrival the night before, getting our tickets and luggage check-in was not an issue. What did happen was a slight issue with the way the queue was handled: there seemed to be a lack of staff and an overwhelming queue of passengers eager to check-in their luggage. There were a few passengers who required assistance (e.g. elderly, immigration issues, too much luggage etc..), and that took up to about an hour just tending to those 3 groups of passengers. It was almost our turn when our queue was sort of cut-in by a couple who could not decided which counter they should queue up for, which one of the couple standing in each line. They even quarreled as the counter that they had finally chosen was even slower than expected. 😓
Anyways, with that little drama set aside, it was soon our turn to check-in and it was relatively smooth as we temporary bade our luggage farewell and made our way to security once we got out tickets. It was a relatively short walk (about 2-5 minutes) and from security we made our way to immigration. The lines were efficient and we were soon on our way into the departure hall. It did help that there was not much of a crowd at that time of the day too.

After quite a bit of (food) souvenir shopping and emptying our wallets, it was time to board the plane. As usual, the order in which the passengers are called is orderly. The moment we boarded the plane it was bit of a scramble to put our carry-on into the compartments so there was no time to take any plane photos. 😶
Since it was about a 7 hour flight back to Singapore, there was plenty of time to nap and catch up with a movie or two. I managed to catch at least two movies that I cannot recall the names of already. 😂

Blankets were provided and so were earphones for the entertainment system. I really wish that Singapore Airlines updates those screens to be touchscreens as it's such a hassle to use the remote sometimes.
Dinner was soon served and both M and myself had the Japanese pork with rice, it also came with cold soba noodles, served with a Japanese inspired dessert on the side! 😋 The meal is definitely one of the more enjoyable airline meals I have had.

Service by the crew was commendable and they were attentive to any requests for orange juice; it was a pleasurable flight. Before we knew it, we had already landed at Changi Airport and from there we made our way home, ending a fruitful holiday and longing for the next one!
