After the last tour destination (
Ilchul Land), it was back to
Jejueco to collect our luggage and make our way to the airport. Victor happened to be going towards that direction, so he gave us a (very much appreciated) ride to the airport with our luggage and all.

We had some time before heading to the airport, so we took this opportunity to linger in Jejueco's (tangerine) garden for a few (more) photos hehe |

A little souvenir from Victor |
When we arrived at the Jeju airport, there was still some time before boarding so it was off to check-in our luggage and have some dinner. Dinner was at a Chinese restaurant where the food was cooked with some Korean influence. We finally had our long awaited jjajangmyeon (black bean paste noodles), jjamppong (Korean spicy seafood noodle soup) and sweet sour pork!
While the jjajangmyeon was not too bad, the jjamppong was a little too spicy for me, but the winner was the sweet sour pork! The sweet sour pork was crisp and crunchy; the favor was further enhanced by the sticky yummy sweet and sour sauce that was ladled over the yummy pieces of fried meat. We kind of over ordered but amazing we still managed to finish all the food. Overall, dinner was very satisfying and the staff at the restaurant was quite friendly and English skills not too bad.

Yummy sweet sour pork! |
With our tummies filled, we paid the bill (which worked out to be about 20,000 won per person) and headed over to wait for our boarding flight. What was to be a simple flight back turned out to be an hour’s delay, which resulted in some confusion (due to the language and the amount of people that were at the airport that day). There were many people at the airport that day, so much so that it was somewhat like a mini market, but we managed to find our way and make our way to the plane. M was already quite tired as she had her wooden plague wedged between her back and her backpack as carry-on luggage. Lol
|
Finally on board! |
The flight back was the same as when we came, we had to get on a shuttle in order to board the plane and drinks (e.g. water, apple/orange juice were served); it was a full flight. In about an hour’s time or so, we were back in
Seoul and departed from
Gimpo Airport to our
AirBnB accommodation -
Owl house@Gyeongbokgung (a.k.a. Sui’s Loft #3).

Topping up our T-money before hopping on the subway to our accommodation at Gimpo airport |
|
With our T-money topped up, it was off to our accommodation. It was pretty quiet at it was about 11pm, by the time we arrived at the accommodation, it as almost midnight! |

Hi,
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your travel details, can you please how long was the arrival customs clearance at Gimpo airport? Thanks!
Hi, it was relatively fast within 30-45 minutes or so if I remember correctly. :)
DeleteThanks, 30-45mins including collecting check-in luggages? :)
Delete:) Yes. They were pretty efficient. Have a good trip!
DeleteJust to play safe, you could give yourself an hour for the whole process (just in case something pops up). But in general, it's quite fast.
DeleteThanks, does 30-45mins include collecting check-in luggages? Worry if we will be in time to catch the last airport bus or train, thanks!
DeleteFor us, during that time, yes. We arrived around 10pm at Gimpo Airport and by the time we were out of the airport on the way to catch the AREX/subway it was around 11pm. What time is your flight arrival time and which area are you staying at? If you are planning to take a bus you might want to check what time is the last bus. :)
DeleteThanks for sharing. Our flight arrives at around 7+pm, and we will be staying at Dongdaemun area. The last bus is 8+pm.. Seems like we may need to take the train if we miss the last bus.
DeleteYour timing seems quite ok :) yes, do make a back up plan in case you miss the last bus. The trains are still running at that time of the night. Hopefully your accommodation is near the Subway station. Happy travels! ^^
DeleteThanks. Yes, it is near the subway. :)
DeleteIn fact we booked the jejueco suite + tour as u shared in your blog. Your blog is very detailed, love it!
Now I start to worry more - if sufficient time to catch the domestic flight at Gimpo airport.
We have a 4 hour gap between international flight arrival at incheon airport to domestic flight departure at Gimpo airport. Our flight will Incheon airport at around 830am.
How fast is the arrival immigration clearance at Incheon airport (from flight landing to collect check-in luggage)? I forget to factor in the time needed for immigration..
Cool! Thanks for visiting my blog! :) enjoy your time at jeju!
DeleteDepending on the crowd, an hour or so at immigration plus collecting luggage... Maybe around 1 hr 45+ min the most (but usually much faster)? Just go to the shortest fastest moving queue... Should be fine. :)
Make sure you fill up the immigration cards with your accommodation address etc... Would help to speed up a little time rather than having to fill it in last minute. You may also want to consider catching a (limo) bus to Gimpo (if time permits) as the bus might bring you straight to your terminal (less walking than if you were to take the subway).
Thanks for sharing, much appreciated! :)
