After spending the day at
Everland, it was time to head back, but not before a visit to the famed district of
Gangnam (since it was on the way back)! We alighted at
Gangnam Station and explored the area under the cover of the night.

The train was pretty quiet that day hehe |
It was full of activity even before we made it out of the station: there were many shops and people underground. There were also quite a few exits to choose from and we ended up going out via
Exit 10.

Lingerie anyone? lol |

Out the exit to explore! |
Once we made it out of the station (via
Exit 10), the place was even more bustling with activity! Since it was Halloween, there were people dressed up as witches (and the like), but nothing too dramatic that would scare you in the middle of the night (thank goodness!). There’re actually a couple of clubs in the area and they were packing in the crowds (as well as queues).

It was cold and we were hungry, so while looking around for a place to grab a bite we discovered this quirky eatery -
The Midnight Po Cha - that exuded youthfulness and mysteriousness (since it was located at the basement and the lighting was pretty dim).

Little notes left by patrons |
There were hoards of (mostly university) people there for a late night snack/drink and it was full of vibrancy. The place was decorated quite simply, but had its own unique style with the wooden beams decorated with marker drawn
KaKao Talk characters. There was even a board where patrons could take a polariod and leave a comment or two how happy they were.

The board |
The menu wasn’t that extensive, but it was sufficient and made our decision process even easier. We decided on the fishcake stew and seafood which was a tad spicy. The waiter who served the stew was pretty adorable. Due to the language barrier, he wanted to say to wait till the soup bubbled before the fire could be turned off and the stews eaten… and he ended up doing it with body language… twice… it was both adorable and hilarious at the same time!

The night ended happily with full stomachs and tired legs! |
