If we thought that Ebisu Bashi-Suji Shopping Street was filled with shops and food galore, than Shinsaibashi-Suji Shopping Arcade is twice the feast for the eyes and workout for the legs. Similar to Ebisu Bashi-Suji Shopping Street where the streets are covered, Shinsaibashi-Suji Shopping Arcade is one of Osaka's oldest and busiest shopping destinations, and it is about twice the length of Shinsaibashi-Suji Shopping Arcade at around 600 meters!

With a large collection of shops, chain stores and independent boutiques, not forgetting the numerous yummy looking food establishments,  and with approximately 180 shops, including a Daimaru Department Store, Shinsaibashi-Suji Shopping Arcade can be every shoppers' favorite haunt.

We even stumbled on the opening of a Kiki & Lala Cafe (Twin Stars), but the queue was simple too long!

We walked for wait seemed like ages and there was so many restaurants it was extremely challenging to decide what to have for dinner that day.  We wanted to eat almost everything, but unfortunately our stomachs are not made of still. So after much deliberation, we finally decided on.... Sashimi!

So from the end of Shinsaibashi-Suji Shopping Arcade, we walked back and decided to dine at this restaurant. If I remember correctly (or not), cost us about 50,000 - 60,000¥. 😜

Our dinner of assorted sashimi scallops, squid, salmon, octopus, prawns and other fishes. 😋😋😋😋

Dinner was truly a bliss and I have never tasted uni (sea urchin) that was so nice, fresh and sweet. After our tummies were filled, it was almost time to call it a night and make our way back to our Kyoto AirBnb.
