The Outpost Hotel is located a few minutes walk from the Imbiah Station (which can get you to the rest of Sentosa).
Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted upon arrival and given some welcome drinks while the check-in process was being handled. The check-in process was efficient and smooth. By the time the check-in procedure was completed, we had picked out minibar items, while sipping on our refreshing welcome drinks. We were soon ushered to our the room

The mini room tour was welcome, especially about the functionality of the advanced toilet, which not only self-cleans but has a bidet and had an automated sensor lid. As for the shower, with just a press of the button (literally) you get perfect temperature water. The Appelles toiletries were really nice, I think the shampoo and conditioner made my hair softer and shinier.
As it was my birthday, there were balloons and macaroons in my room. |
The room might not be big, but it makes excellent use of space. There is an open concept 'closet' at the entrance where you can hang your clothes with 6 hangers, two of which have bathrobes draped on them. The comfortable bed and pillows were a bliss to sleep on; it was hard to get up in the mornings for breakfast. The 55-inch tv not only served as an entertainment device, but the hotel bill, the weather, the in-room menu, dining options and even flight information can be found.

Housekeeping was top notch, keeping the room nice and clean each day and replenishing the toiletries and coffee capsules. DramaQueen had left her sunglasses by the pool, but it was promptly located and returned the next day.
During the time we were there, breakfast was either be at The Native Kitchen over at (neighboring) Village Hotel, or at the Ola Beach Club; both have their own different experiences. If you want a greater variety of food options and getting your own food then dining at the Native Kitchen is recommended. If you want to enjoy a quiet morning by the beach and are ok with the option between either an Asian or Western themed breakfast, with your food served to you, then breakfast at the Ola Beach Club might be your thing. We tried breakfasts at both and enjoyed our breakfasts at both venues.

The rooftop pool was not yet ready when we were there, but the other pools, especially the adult-only infinity pool was enough to entertain us during our stay. The view was nice and you can even see the fireworks at night. The pool bar was a nice place to hang out, and the bar tenders professional. The only letdown was that there were no floats available for the lazy pool.😔

Dinner for all 4 nights were at the Native Kitchen, and the staff there were attentive and made some good recommendations for dessert. We ordered room service once, the chicken rice portion was generous but taste wise it was quite normal. The laksa and nasi lemak are something different and totally delicious. You should try it when you are there. 😋

We enjoyed our stay so much that we extended for one more night. Service overall was great and there were smiles each time we left and returned to the hotel, it was a memorable birthday and we really enjoyed our stay.
